I went to an interview for a kitchen employee position at The Melting Pot today. It was the most fun I’ve ever had at an interview. I was given the “second interview” on the spot and was offered the position!! I was not expecting it all to happen that quickly. Training starts next week. :D
Watching the Elevation sermon “Suck Proof Soul” today helped me get my head back in the right place. I <3 Steven Furtick’s preaching!
Today I was randomly looking through my phone and on the notepad found some analogies my friend and I made about our friendship last fall. Here’s just a few:
“Our friendship is like choking someone… it leaves you speechless”
“Our friendship is like toll booths… you have to invest to go the distance”
and I saved the best for last
“Our friendship is like Harry Potter… scarred but still magical”
Today my friend Christine was baptized at Elevation Church Fredonia Extension. Hearing her story and how God has changed her was so moving. To see her publicly confess to her faith in Christ and be baptized to symbolize the new life she has as a result was truly beautiful.

… a resident came to me and asked me why I only worked there one day? After explaining why, he told me that him and the other residents wished I could work more often. He said “All the residents here really like you and enjoy working with you. You have a great personality and really care about people.” He then proceeded to tell me that he thinks they should pay me even if it’s not allowed since it’s for my class. It was touching to realize how much the residents I worked with respected me.
Discovered a piece of cake on my kitchen counter this morning that had been left as a gift from a friend. It made a delicious breakfast.
